Jason Statham is back kicking, burning and blasting bad guys in the first teaser for The Beekeeper 2. Amazon MGM Studios released the preview yesterday, ahead of the film’s theatrical debut on January 15. Statham returns as Adam Clay, a former elite CIA assassin who belongs to a secret organization known as the Beekeepers. This time, he’s recruited by Wallace Westwyld, played by Jeremy Irons, to take on rogue Beekeepers. The teaser promises plenty of over-the-top action, including a Dodge Super Bee outfitted with a Gatling gun and a flamethrower battle in which Clay turns his opponent’s weapon against him. Pom Klementieff also joins the action as one of the rogue Beekeepers. Timo Tjahjanto directs, with Kurt Wimmer returning to write the screenplay alongside Zak Penn. The original The Beekeeper hit theaters in January 2024.
