“Hit Man” Series Inspired By Movie In Works At Netflix

Netflix is developing a "Hit Man" TV series based on the 2024 movie starring and co-written by Glen Powell. The series is being written by Stephen Falk, with Powell and Richard Linklater serving as executive producers. The show is expected to follow the movie's basic premise: an ordinary guy who adopts elaborate disguises and fake identities while posing as a hitman to catch people trying to hire a killer. The original film was a surprise hit for Netflix after earning strong reviews and awards attention, including Golden Globe and Writers Guild nominations. Falk, best known for creating the TV show You're the Worst, will lead the adaptation. Netflix hasn't revealed casting details or a release date, and it's unclear whether Powell will appear on-screen in the series.
