Rolling Stones Legend Mick Jagger 'Almost Died' After Buying Heroin From A Buddhist Drug Dealer

A new book about The Rolling Stones claims Mick Jagger nearly died from a heroin overdose in the mid?1970s. The allegation comes from record producer Marshall Chess, who shared the story with author Bob Spitz for his new biography The Rolling Stones: The Biography. According to Chess, Jagger was 33 when he allegedly used heroin at Chess’s New York apartment in 1976 after the two bought the drug from what Chess described as a “Buddhist heroin dealer.” Jagger reportedly collapsed, turned blue, and became unresponsive. Chess says he panicked, attempted mouth?to?mouth, and called for an ambulance — fearing Jagger would die in his apartment. Chess claims music executive Ahmet Ertegun and actress Faye Dunaway arrived and helped arrange for Jagger to be treated discreetly at Lenox Hill Hospital. Emergency responders ultimately revived the singer with oxygen. The book notes that Jagger’s drug use has never been as public as Keith Richards’, and the Stones have not commented on the claim. Meanwhile, the band is reportedly finishing a new album titled Foreign Tongues, teased under their old alias The Cockroaches. A new single, “Mr. Charm,” is expected Saturday. While Jagger, Richards, and Ronnie Wood will make promotional appearances, sources say there are no plans for a tour, though mini?residencies are being considered.
