Netflix Star Emerges As Surprise Contender For Next James Bond

The search for the next James Bond is turning into Hollywood’s longest-running guessing game, and now a surprise new contender is shaking up the odds. Since Daniel Craig wrapped up his run as Bond in No Time to Die, fans have been waiting for news on who’ll inherit the tuxedo, the Aston Martin, and the lifelong obligation to stare dramatically at martinis. The usual names — Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Harris Dickinson, and Callum Turner — are still leading the betting odds, but Leo Suter from Vikings: Valhalla has suddenly entered the conversation. The 32-year-old actor recently hinted he’d gladly take the role, saying, “Watch this space.” The Bond franchise is also entering a major transition after the Broccoli family handed creative control to Amazon MGM Studios. Meanwhile, Denis Villeneuve is reportedly attached to direct the next movie, with Steven Knight writing the script. Rumors suggest the reboot could focus on a younger Bond early in his MI6 career. Other names still floating around include Jacob Elordi, Jack O'Connell, and longtime fan favorite Henry Cavill, who famously lost the role to Craig back in 2006.
