Ed Sheeran has been fined after one of his classic cars was found to be uninsured—even though it hasn't been driven in years. The singer pleaded guilty after the DVLA discovered his 1966 Aston Martin didn't have insurance while it was undergoing a full restoration and electric conversion at a specialty workshop. Sheeran told the court he believed the garage's insurance covered the vehicle and noted the car has been off the road and in the shop's possession since 2021, posing no risk to the public. The court still found him responsible as the registered owner, ordering him to pay nearly $1,400 in fines, costs and surcharges. Sheeran also apologized, saying he never received an earlier notice that could have resolved the issue without going to court.
