Aviation American Gin has closed its Portland tasting room and visitor center after just four years in business. The venue, which held its final tasting on June 28, was opened to promote the gin brand co-owned by actor Ryan Reynolds, who once described it as "Disneyland for adults." The closure comes as parent company Diageo faces declining U.S. spirits sales. The company said the decision was made after "careful consideration" and reflects changing business needs, while emphasizing that it remains committed to growing the Aviation American Gin brand. Production of the gin has been moved to another facility outside Portland. Reynolds has been involved with the brand since 2018, and Diageo acquired Aviation American Gin in 2020, with Reynolds continuing as a co-owner.
