Stan Lee Returns Under AI Pact: Elevenlabs Licenses Marvel Legend's Voice And Likeness

ElevenLabs has signed a deal to digitally revive the voice and likeness of late Marvel legend Stan Lee for AI-powered projects. The company says fans will now be able to use an AI version of Stan Lee’s voice to narrate books through its Eleven Reader app, while creators can generate comic-style images of Lee using visual templates inspired by Marvel panels. The voice model was reportedly trained using professional recordings of Lee before his death in 2018. The partnership is with Stan Lee Universe, which says the goal is to keep Lee’s personality and storytelling spirit alive for fans. The rollout even includes a monthly “Stan Lee Book Club,” where AI-Stan narrates classic public-domain books starting with Treasure Island. The move is part of a growing trend where celebrity estates are licensing AI versions of famous stars. ElevenLabs already offers voices and likenesses tied to names like Michael Caine, Judy Garland and David Hasselhoff.
