On October 13, 2026, at 11:46 p.m., members of the Calvert County 
Sheriff’s Patrol Bureau responded to report of a serious motor vehicle 
crash in the area of Rousby Hall Rd. and Maryland Ave. in Lusby. 
Upon arrival, deputies located a single vehicle with a sole occupant 
suffering life-threatening injuries. 
A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2021 Nissan Sentra was 
traveling East on Rousby Hall Rd. in the area of Maryland Ave. While 
driving, the Nissan left the roadway and struck a tree. Emergency 
Medical Services attempted life-saving measures, but the driver, John 
Lawrence Connor, 33 of Lusby, succumbed to his injuries and was 
pronounced deceased on scene.
The Crash Reconstruction Team responded to investigate. Deputy First 
Class M. Daily is conducting the investigation. Anyone who witnessed
