Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) recently celebrated over 25 students who completed the requirements for a Maryland high school diploma in summer school. The students, along with their friends, family and staff from their respective high schools, gathered July 31, at Thomas Stone High School for a summer commencement ceremony.
During the ceremony, Corey Dobbins, principal of alternative programs at the Robert D. Stethem Educational Center, encouraged the students to not compare their journeys to anyone else’s. Cameren Marshall, 2026 graduate, reminded the graduates that they had the power to write their own stories and to not let the doubts of others hinder them from achieving their goals.
