Traffic Flow Modified at Solomons Boat Ramp Due to Bridge Repairs

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – ?Aug. 28, 2026? – The Calvert County Department of Parks & Recreation (CCPR) advises boat ramp users that traffic flow has been modified for vehicles entering and exiting the Solomons Boat Ramp parking lot due to necessary repairs following recent damage to the Gov. Thomas Johnson Bridge. Visitors should follow all posted signage and directions from boat ramp staff while the modified traffic pattern is in place.

The changes reduce available boat trailer parking and may result in longer-than-normal wait times to access the boat ramp. The sidewalk leading to the fishing pier is also closed; however, the fishing pier remains open.

The modified traffic flow will remain in place until repairs are completed by the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration.
