LEONARDTOWN, MD – The Commissioners of St. Mary's County (CSMC) began their business meeting with an invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by approval of the consent agenda.
As a part of the consent agenda, the CSMC approved the appointments to the Boards, Committees and Commissions.
The CSMC then presented proclamations in recognition of Homegrown School Lunch Week, World Architecture Day, Economic Development Week, and Pediatric Acute-Onset Neuropsychiatric Syndromes (PANS) Awareness Day.

During County Administrator Time, the CSMC took the following action:
- Reviewed future CSMC meeting agendas.
- Approved the Memorandum of Understanding between the CSMC and Three Oaks Homeless Shelter, Inc., documenting the County’s existing in-kind contribution of County-owned property for eligible grant purposes.
- Approved the Seventh District Volunteer Fire Department’s request to refinance its current rolling stock loan.
- Directed staff to begin an update to the St. Mary’s County Air Installation Compatible Use Zone (AICUZ) Program.
The Commissioners then wrapped up their business meeting with Commissioner Time.
The Commissioners reconvened at 6:30 p.m. for the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) Consolidated Transportation Program Tour.
The CSMC will have a joint meeting with the Commanding Officer of the Patuxent River Naval Air Station on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 9 a.m. in the CSMC Meeting Room, on the first floor of the Chesapeake Building, located at 41770 Baldridge Street in Leonardtown.
