Calvert County Sheriff's Office Incident Report

Assault: 26-68491
On August 10, 2026, at approximately 10:50 p.m., deputies responded to a traffic complaint 
involving a vehicle traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of Southern Maryland 
Boulevard in Owings. Deputy McIntosh located the vehicle, a white Lexus, in the area of Route 
4 and Town Center Boulevard and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The driver failed to stop 
and continued driving recklessly, nearly striking several vehicles head-on. Deputies deployed 
stop sticks, which struck the vehicle’s tires; however, the vehicle continued traveling into Anne 
Arundel County. A PIT maneuver was conducted in the area of West Bay Front Road in Lothian, 
temporarily disabling the vehicle. The driver, later identified as Kenneth David Roach, 59 of 
Upper Marlboro, continued attempting to operate the vehicle and struck Deputy McIntosh’s 
marked patrol vehicle. Roach failed to comply with multiple commands and was removed from 
the vehicle and taken into custody. Further investigation revealed Roach’s driver’s license was 
suspended. Deputies also located empty liquor bottles in and near the vehicle. Roach was 
transported to the Calvert County Detention Center and charged with Resist/Interfere with 
Arrest, Second-Degree Assault, Obstructing and Hindering, and Malicious Destruction of 
Property valued over $1,000, DWI, Negligent Driving, and other traffic-related charges.

 

CDS Violation: 26-69697
On August 15, 2026, at approximately 12:54 a.m., Deputy McIntosh initiated a traffic stop at the 
BP Gas Station located at 2849 Chesapeake Beach Road. Upon making contact with the driver, 
identified as Robert Alvin Zimmerman, 42 of Tracys Landing, Deputy McIntosh observed an 
open container of Twisted Tea in the center console, as well as an open case of alcoholic 
beverages behind the passenger seat. A search of the vehicle revealed a clear baggie containing 
approximately 2 grams of a rock-like substance suspected to be crystal methamphetamine. 
Zimmerman was arrested and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center, where he was 
charged with CDS: Possession—Not Cannabis.

 

CDS Violation: 26-70262
On August 16, 2026, at approximately 11:32 p.m., Cpl. Barger initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle 
observed swerving all over the roadway along northbound Rt. 4 in the area of M.F. Bowen Road 
in Huntingtown. Upon making contact with the driver, identified as Efrain Reyes Alquejay, 27, 
of Salisbury, and the passenger, identified as Rigo Verto Yxen, 34, of no fixed address, deputies 
observed numerous open Modelo beer cans inside the vehicle and detected a strong odor of an 
alcoholic beverage. Further investigation revealed Reyes Alquejay did not have a valid driver’s 
license and was suspended and revoked. He submitted to a roadside Preliminary Breath Test, 
which determined he was over the legal limit and unable to safely operate a motor vehicle. Reyes 
Alquejay was placed under arrest for DUI/DWI. During a search, deputies located a small plastic 
bag containing a white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine. Reyes Alquejay was 
transported to the Calvert County Detention Center and charged with CDS: Possession-Not 
Cannabis, CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia, Driving Without a License, DWI, and other traffic-
related charges. Yxen was also transported to the Calvert County Detention Center and charged 
with CDS: Possession-Not Cannabis and CDS: Possession of Paraphernalia.

 

Damaged Property: 26-68413 
On August 10, 2026, Cpl. Barger responded to the park and ride located on Silverwood Ln in 
Prince Frederick for a report of property destruction. The victim advised the front driver side 
window of their vehicle had been shattered. The estimated value of damaged property is $850. 

 

Damaged Property: 26-69026
On August 12, 2026, Cpl. Shrawder responded to the 12600 block of Laurel Hill Road in Lusby 
for a report of damaged property. The victim advised that the roof of her vehicle had been 
damaged. A hole and numerous scratches were observed on the vehicle. The estimated value of 
damaged property is $1,000.

 

Damaged Property: 26-70121 3
On August 16, 2026, Deputy Robey responded to the 11000 block of Clifton Drive in Lusby for 
a report of damaged property. The complainant advised that her mailbox had been dented. A 
second mailbox was also damaged, having been dented and knocked off its post. The estimated 
value of the damaged property is $300.

 

Theft: 26-68701 
On August 11, 2026, Deputy Robey responded to the 400 block of John Hansen Drive in Lusby 
for the report of a theft. The victim advised their new vehicle registration tabs had been stolen 
from their mailbox. The estimated value of stolen property is $191.25.

 

Trespassing: 26-69867
On August 15, 2026, Deputy Robey responded to the 900 block of Chart Court in Lusby for a 
reported trespassing. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with Angela Kathleen Klosek, 51, of 
Lanham, who was observed exiting a shed on the property. A no trespassing sign was posted in 
plain view, and further investigation confirmed Klosek did not have permission to be on the 
property or inside the shed. Klosek was placed into custody for trespassing. While being taken 
into custody, Klosek resisted arrest and attempted to prevent deputies from placing her in a 
marked patrol vehicle. Klosek was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center, where 
she was charged with Burglary-Fourth Degree, Resisting/Interfering with Arrest, Obstructing and 
Hindering, and Trespassing: Private Property.
